The recent viral multiplayer hide-and-seek game Meccha Chameleon has taken the world by storm shortly after its initial release around the beginning of June. This successful game, however, was made in just two months by only two people, as revealed by one of the creators on X.

The development period for Meccha Chameleon is 2 months. Including reused features from the previous work, the total comes to about 4-5 months.

You might be asking yourselves how they had managed to create such a popular game in so little time. In an interview with Gamewith.jp, one of the two creators of the game, Lemorion, explains that they first created the bare-minimum in terms of mechanics and graphics, then slowly added more features until they were satisfied

Knowing he could always just implement something, then improve on it later, gave him a sense of security that was very motivating.

Meccha Chameleon has gone on to sell more than 10 million copies in its first month, according to a post by the developers on Steam.
